Class - Intro to Textile Arts for Kids (Ages 8-12) (Sun 9-11:30 Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Dec 6)

This 6-class series takes your child on an adventure through various textile art forms! This course is intended as an overview - your child will gain exposure and introductory skills in a variety of textile mediums.

What's included:

• 6 sessions of expert instruction in an encouraging and supportive environment
• Lesson plans designed specifically for this age group to encourage creativity and exploration, with opportunities for student-directed curriculum
• All materials and supplies for a variety of textile projects (taken home at the end of the course)
• Light snack during each session

What types of things will the course cover?

• Fabric and yarn dyeing
• Wool processing from raw fleece to roving
• Spinning yarn from wool
• Felting
• Weaving and/or spool knitting
• And more! We adapt each class to students' progress and interests!

All teaching and supervision for our children's classes and workshops is done by experienced instructors with clean CPICs (police record checks) renewed every 5 years.
